WDC Group is currently providing architecture and engineering services to the Fayette County Commissioners to bring the existing county courthouse up to standards and to modernize existing systems in their historic courthouse that was constructed in 1885. Preliminary scope of work for the renovation includes masonry renovation of exterior, window replacement, restoration and preservation of historic chalk paintings on dome ceilings, upgrading electric and mechanical systems including new wiring, air conditioning, heat, network / data wiring, and designing court rooms to meet ADA guidelines. WDC Group is working with the Ohio Historic Preservation Office and the USDA Rural Development office. Construction is scheduled to begin in the Summer of 2008.
